Love Birds

Lulu, Bebe and Bobo are their names. They are the love birds that live here at Cheers. Bebe and Lulu are about to have another clutch of babies...it's spring. People love to stop in just to see them and sign up for a baby love bird when they're old enough to be adopted. So far, they've had 5 sets of babies.

Spring

Spring is about to have sprung. April 20th is the first day of spring and we change to daylight savings time on the 9th. That means Easter is around the corner. Tulips, daffodils and hyacinths are starting to show up in the flower market. As the days grow longer we're looking forward to getting outside for picnics and enjoying the sunshine. It's great to see the pastel colors of spring and enjoy the anticipation of the season.

St. Patrick's Day

St. Patrick was one of the patron saints of Ireland, and March 17th is his feast day. In Ireland it's traditionally been a religious holiday, but as with many holidays celebrated in America, it's more about celebrating the color green, alcohol and corned beef. Shamrocks are a traditional Irish remembrance and green and white flowers are popular to mark the day.
